I'm with whoever posted all the Hipstamatic stuff. I think the sickly over-processed photography needs to reign in a bit. I just started shooting film again this year after a few years doing digital and I must say I'm more excited about photography than ever.
I used to shoot on a Lumix LX2 and butcher the shots in Lightroom with presets. They looked 'cool' but totally over the top. I lost my Lumix when I moved to NY from London and bought a second hand point & shoot, and have had so much fun rediscovering the medium – (a few here: http://megatown.tumblr.com).
I think that it's the whole, 'let's-make-something-new-look-l... thing that bugs me, especially when it comes from someone who's supposedly a designer or with an appreciation for creating. Not saying everyone should shoot film, but I think that it's so much more satisfying to find your own voice rather than talk with the one everyone else is using.
