    I once had a long chat with chris bonington (pictured above, hes was an exceptional mountaineer), and he said
    "the one thing that you cant imagine until you have tried climbing Everest is seeing all these bodies on your way to the summit. You're tired, and in need of all the morale you can get and instead you repeatedly see the bodies of people who have had the same goal as you, but they have tried and failed. Its not very encouraging and that is easily the hardest part of climbing Everest." (not his exact words, but that was the jist of it)

    Also i have to say he is a very nice chap, very sincere and incredibly friendly. I made a few jokes about how there are harder mountains to climb and he was a good laugh about it.
