I've always had a pretty good experience with eBay. The whole Nigerian thing is something you have to watch out for - lots of people say that they won't accept bids from anyone in Nigeria especially for high value items like iPhones etc.
I had one bad experience when selling my old 3G iPhone. Basically the guy that bought it said it didn't work - it works fine, he just didn't activate it in iTunes.... anyway - he opened a case against me and it turned into a complete nightmare trying to sort it all out.
In short, eBay is great if everything goes as it should do. As soon as something happens that's not meant to - it's a bluddy nightmare.
