I bought fairly expensive items without a problem, also good for cheap ones. I reckon that you outta be careful about who you make deals with and that's it.

The closest I was to a bad experience was the purchase of a Canon Mark II which arrived with a loose part. I was offered a new one instead or a full refund, but I lost some money shipping the faulty one back to the seller. However, all in all worked out about 15% cheaper than buying it at cheapest high street retailer.
I could find a single non-counterfeit senheisser earphone, but I always got refund.
I also sold many things... from a telly to a sofa! much better than gumtree, where you almost always get a shady chap bargaining you about the agreed price.

    • How would you suggest people be careful? Only buy from small sellers? Big sellers?kalkal
    • I mean, looking at feedback is obvious, but that never helped me...kalkal
    • But oh yeah, ebay is great for selling stuff!kalkal
    • best sellers need positive feedback to keep their rating. quite unlikely they will fuck you up...maikel
    • ...mind you, here in britain it works a lot better than in the states...maikel
