  no one care about you having to take risk or might not have work after the gig. also, they don't care if you need to cover for taxes and health care.

  if the design studio you're at charge the client $150/hr, which you will be working on. there is no way in the world, you would get 2/3 or that. if you're lucky, you will get 1/3. which is $50/hr.
