When someone is asking you to pitch, they are most likely asking others too. If you just "prove your credibility" and all that bs while others do actual work, then you are really wasting your time... Not gonna happen.
Motion companies do pitches all the time. Sure, they lose a shitload of money from them when they lose, but they make a shitload more in the long run than they could have if they didn't waste a little bit in the first place.
You have the chance to do something you say is "pretty cool," (meaning you'll probably have fun doing it,) and maybe you'll get to do more of that "pretty cool" stuff and paid for it... or you could do nothing, and receive nothing...
