  Whenever I pitched without seeing money upfront, I got fucked.
  Not sure how it works...

  You have to somehow lick their ass as much as possible and make absolutely sure that they liked you. That way they will give you the job.
  If they like you, they might even use some idea that somebody else pitched to them. And get YOU to execute it.

  But if they don't like you, they will just use your ideas and give the job to somebody else.

  • Exactly - that's why I don't want to give away too many ideas and prefer to pitch at a "mood board" level instead of tangeable concepts which can be ripped off.gingerbreadlady
