I would recommend getting the Nikon D3000 body and the 50mm 1.8
Good start up kit and should be around $500 - which is decent

- NOTE: The D3000 does not have an internal autofocus motor, which teh 50 1.8 needsvaxorcist
- so you can either get a 35mm 1.8 or the pricier AFS-50mm 1.4, or use manual focus
or get a Nikon D90vaxorcist - Or just get a canon t1i. The canon 50mm 1.8 has AFPositiveintenT
