Dear Dynamic Duo of Mental Processing,

Do your companies actively discriminate against employees without "families" in other areas? Is this the only situation where this occurs or is there an ongoing culture of bias against single men and women?

Do these thankless coworkers you reference exhibit such poor manners and lack of gratitude in other areas of socialization? Do they often disregard your personal space, opinion or well-being?

Is it possible that you work for companies that realize a family-friendly workplace is a key benefit to recruiting and obtaining some talented individuals? Perhaps there are details behind the scenes that you are neither privy to nor need to know?

Would permission to go out and buy the prettiest dress you can find make you feel a bit better?

    With sympathy,

    melq
