i bought it from apple.com online, and it's been more than 30 days. the reason i plan on calling apple support first is to confirm that i can do this. hopefully if they'll let me, i'll ask them to get in touch with the local apple store and tell them of what i'm going to do.
i dont know, i hope it works, because i really don't want to have to send it off for a repair that (in most cases) doesn't seem to resolve the white spots.. especially since i would guess they're not concentrating on fixing the problem for the Ti displays.
