i got a powerbook about two weeks before they released the new redesigned/upgraded one. that was in september.. i've got the dreaded white spots on my monitor so i've got to get that replaced anyway, but i'm hoping they'll let me replace the machine for the new model - using the excuse that i can't be without my computer for more than a day - which is true since i havent been able to take it in until now.
what do you think my chances are? i'm going to call them on thursday and see if they'll let me do this. hopefully i'll walk into an apple store with the one i have now, and walk out with the new one. i'll pay the price difference of course.
