    ^^ Ah, good question.

    I've been fortunate enough to not have any scratches over time, but that is largely because I was warned about this from a friend who uses one at work. He had a heavy hand and just chewed into it. Eventually he had to get the surface replaced.

    I got around it by using the SmudgeGuard glove. http://www.smudgeguard.com/

    It looks weird and feels odd at first, but you get used to it, and it works. Of course, you can create your own with a soft felt glove, but I tried that, and the pro glove is better.

    With regards to scratches from the stylus, that hasn't happened to me yet, but I calibrated it so I can have a pretty light touch on the screen—probably because I'm overly concerned about it in the first place.
