    yikes.

I guess sarcasm doesn't translate well on message boards.

I hope no one mailed these people - I certainly don't want anyone mail bombed.

nor do I have anything patented - or plans to sue anyone.

and don't believe for a fucking second that I post shit to create controversy - or as someone suggested that I actually build and hosted this site in New Jersey. you people are way to insane.

and I'm not that clever - nor care.

I guess what upsets me - if this discussion wasn't about me I'd be interested to see what type of dialog happens - we are used to RIPS being blatant copies of graphics, but now we are starting to see rips of layout and interaction and how does that not fall under the same format.

creating the layout, the flow of information, and interaction of that information, to me, is way more important than the pixels that dress up that layout.

do I care about these people ? no

do I care about the haters on newstoday ? nope

do I care about the people support me ? of course, good attitudes and jamming together only makes us better designers and people.

do I LOVE my face photoshopped on the squirrel with big NUTS ? you betcha, saved it to my desktop.

and the only reason I posted this information was because john ryan over at uncommonthinking.com had e-mailed me about these people - and had actually lost the vera wang site to them. So yeah I do have a problem when someone in our community who is trying to do something unique and original loses a job to a company who steals ideas from others. Even if those ideas are layout and interaction.

if this was a student site or a personal site - would I care - no - but when it's a studio - positioning themselves as a business - a business built on using others ideas. it's pretty shitty.

and if it was you instead of me - you'd think it was whack to.
