cropmarks in illustrator dont do anything other than indicate where it should be cut. they dont actually function when you save a file.
make sure everything is unlocked and unhidden, then Ctrl + A and see where your box stretches to. if it goes off your screen, then you've got something that is off of your immediate artboard (probably not the right terminology, but you get it)
so once you see where the box stretches, then you can go and delete whatever gremlin happens to be muching up your shit. following me?
or fuck it. just open your illustrator file in PS and crop it where you need it. then send the bastard off with no one the wiser. (as long as you dont need layers and objects that is.)
