Outdoors an hour before dusk, bastard amber filters over sidelight flash balanced with daylight, you can use CTR-301p remote flash triggers from ebay, old Sunpak 433/422/333 flashes set on 1/4 or 1/8th power... and one umbrella on a clamp/stand behind you on the side, one flash behind subject left, one behind right, possibly a gobo or two, very strobist style for about the price of one monolight.... you can use home depot A clamps to hold your backlight flashes and black foamcore as gobos....
none of this may make much sense unless you spend lots of time at www.strobist.com.... and/or read Lighting Science and Magic...
or just use a bunch of speedotron stuff in a studio....
it's less about the brand of gear than where it is and how you balance with the ambient.... have fun and practice a LOT
