Posterous is actually pretty useful.
The email thing is very good.
(where you can post info directly from an email.)I havn't been using it for very long but it does seem very lightweight, doesn't look like you can do too much with it. But if you just want to have a simple blog to share info it can work very well.
Anything more than this and I would say wordpress would be a better option.
