we always prefer when people send in an eps for anything printed. it's nothing to do with the file format, but when we have problem files 99% of the time it's a pdf. usually comes down to someone not knowing how to embed fonts or how to deal with transparency issues and such. also, we usually have to convert from a pdf to an eps for the printer rip to adjust the color profiles.
