  I like what your trying to achieve and I thought it was funny in places but also after scenes did get a bit predictable.
  A couple of suggestions:

  - Maybe having less people in some of the actual shots. For example
  you could have people behind the camera saying "no its that button.." and I dunno night vision suddenly starts up or something??.

  - Could make some elements of the equipment really low tech. For example using a actual broom handle for the boom operator coming into a shot or using a broom handle for a tripod leg???

  Keeping in the same vain as 'all the gear but no idea'.
