I wish people got together because they were attracted and got to like each other instead of playing games. Some people are actually like that. BUT...Carty is right all the way. I know because I'm the nice guy who never acted that way and I have a piss poor track record to show for it.
Listen to his first post and it will work much more often than not. Above all, don't place too much importance on any girl you don't know that much. They are fickle and will never place much value on your feelings.
And don't get a gift. Wait a date or two and make it a cheap, thoughtful/funny gift.
