I think about this quite often actually. I think it´s in the creative nature - the urge to change stuff and see things from other perspectives. As of now I´m a full time commercial photographer, but I don´t know if I´ll be making photographs for a living for the rest of my life. I love my job though.. Ironic..
I had the opportunity to be a full time musician, but the need of a steady income and dreams of a nice family life made that choice relatively easy. Now it´s just my hobby (with occational tours and studio work), and it gives me a lot of joy when inspiration for photography is low.
The grass may be greener on the other side, but never quit your day job.. ;)
