been living in Singapore for a year now... quite often I see thumbsized cockroaches in the street, and they can fly as well. There is a pestcontrol once a month to fume out the garbage chutes of my block, but once I came back from work I found loads lying around the garbage chute flap in my flat. Luckily only the little ones managed to escape through the small gaps when their kingdom was fumed. And they were all really dopey so made no big attempts to flee when I sprayed them... Had bigger ones on 3 occasions but slowly getting used to it. Food is really cheap here so I never cook and I keep my cereals in the fridge.

    • Usually I keep my windows closed in the evening and at night, and the weekly cleaner helps as well :-)d_gitale
    • we used to have those when i lived in mexico too. i think it's the warmer/humid weather. they come out of the sewers. cover your drains too. that helped.sea_sea
    • your shower and sink drains. that helped kinda. have you ever seen a white one? that's freaky.sea_sea
