Just moved to NYC from London... let me just say that NYC is a lot more expensive than London... the day to day stuff (ie: food) is so expensive. the great thing is eating out which is oddly cheaper... beer is pricey.. I find the rent about the same, but that depends where you are as usual... we're paying around $2.5k a month for a nice 2 bedroom in Park Slope...
