not sure if any body still has this issue I see it was started in 08 it's now 10 and the last post was 9 months ago WOW, but I am just getting around to installing CS5 Mater Collection on my intel Mac 10.6 and need to deactivate it : if you are getting the posted message from terminal window then you are not in the ROOT!!!
((I open terminal and then run:"sudo -s"
Then I get
"Bash32"
Then I run: "sh disable_activation_osx"
But it keeps telling me "file not found"))you will need to do this: 10.6
1. Open Directory Utility (/system prefences / Accounts Login Options / Network Account Server- join)
2. Enable the Root User (Edit > Enable Root User)
Directory-Utility-Enable-Root.
3. Choose a password for the root account
4. Logout of your admin account.
5. Login to the root account. Select ‘Other’ in the Login Window. The name of the account is root (lowercase).
6. copy and paste the disable_activation_osx executable on your desk top and run it
it can be found if you do a search:
ADOBE.CREATIVE.SUITE.5.MASTER.CO...

The settings have moved to System Preferences, Accounts, Login Options. You can set the options and open Directory Utility from there.If you want Directory Utility in your Dock, say on an admin account for an image. The app itself has moved to /System/Library/CoreServices/
