There's no real difference in terms of what you can do, and it doesn't sound like you have a strong preference one way or the other. But all else being equal, I'm assuming you want the best quality UI, the best looking screen to design on, etc...
So....get a Mac.
There's a reason why Macs tend to dominate in our industry. If you want to run Office or the latest first person shooter, get a PC. Didn't you see those "I'm a Mac" commercials, lol that tells you all you need to know basically.
