Dell monitor + mac?

I just bought this monitor maybe a month ago. Apparently it has the same display element as the 27" iMacs, the differences being there is no glossy finish, and the U2711 uses CCFL backlight as opposed to the iMac's LEDs. Although more energy efficient, the LEDs have apparently caused the yellowish tint people have complained about in the iMacs, so... win for the CCFL.
I've absolutely love this monitor. Out of the box, it's far too bright and saturated, but with a little configuring you get good results quickly. I haven't had a chance to properly calibrate it yet, but from everything I've read, once calibrated, it really holds up to even more expensive pro monitors. I also really like the 2560x1440 res in the 27" format. Check ebay, I got it new in-box with no tax or shipping for >$900 US.
Also, if you're looking in that price range, and wouldn't mind a 30", I also hear good things about HP's LP3065. It doesn't have nearly the amount of input options the dell has, but it is supposed to have even better color reproduction. Hope this helps.
