the U2711 is an H-IPS panel, so the color and viewing angle are decent. Just look for an IPS panel type and you'll get good color gamut and accuracy. dig around for the more in-depth reviews to see what's really on the inside, a lot of monitors use the same panels but prices will vary. much like hard drives, there are lots of companies making monitors, but only a handful of manufacturers make the actual panels inside.
