I wouldn't advise it unless you were to detox them for a long time. I've never considered it, but they're the most common cause of a bunch of different types of worms in dogs. My Jack Russell eats slugs/snails all the time and we constantly have to worm her...

- This is true, at least in England. Both vets I use recommended worming if my dog ate snails, and the worming medicine recommends using it for the same reason.********
