The transition to 5D is a lot. There are a lot of features I have to learn. I thought it would be quicker to learn. I was up to 3am last night with the manual. So far my favorite difference is how much better it works with low light. On my 10D which is 6 years old now, I wouldn't even bother raising ISO above 100. Now, I feel like it's an option if I don't have a tripod.

And yes, I got the 5D instead of the 7D because of the full frame video censor.

I also consider this a transition from a Canon GL-2 digital camcorder I have. That's mainly the difference between standard def and hi def. I have to admit I prefer holding a camcorder that size and orientation. You can hold it in a more stable way.

Keep in mind I haven't even put my test images and video on my computer yet. So, I have much to learn and discover.
