  Back when I lived near Nice (actually in Vence, up in the mountains) there was a big forest right behind my house and if you hiked far enough in, ruins of what looked like some old abandoned monasteries.

  When I was bored I would hike up there with headphones on, and it was a great head-clearing type experience (although keep in mind this experience was also accompanied by large amounts of hashish).

  And even though I hate a lot of trance, some goa trance would usually sound pretty sweet in that context, especially this record.
