The downfall of being a 'creative type' is that we tend to be highly sensitive to our feelings and surroundings. This is part of what makes us good at what we do. I'm not sure about you but when I'm feeling down it's hard to feel inspired and creative. Sometimes people don't realise the strong effect that releasing their anger has on others, they just get used to talking like this and think it's ok. For instance if you were a tradey working on a job site this type of communication is common. You would probably be walked all over otherwise. Artistic people don't seem to respond well to this form of communication and maybe your boss needs to learn this. Is it worth talking to your boss about your concerns so they know the most effective way to communicate with you to solve problems?
If this doesn't work you should line up another job and get of there. Life is to short to work with negative people, they just bring you down.
