You really have to try to wrap your head around the difference between a natural disaster and an industrial disaster. The hurricane can't be blamed on anyone, the oil spill can be blamed on BP. After the hurricane, thousands of people were dead, injured or displaced/homeless. After an oil spill the shit slowly affects the economy and ecology of the area.
