  thanks for the advice, guys. I'm not sure I want to buy new so I'm thinking the VW is not a safe bet.

  A friend just offered to sell me his Volvo XC70 for trade in price. 48k miles. loaded. great shape.

  Being indecisive doesn't help but hoping to pull the trigger this weekend. woo.

  • Check consumer reports. I think VW models after 2007 are very reliable. My current VW was a lemon until I sunk 13k into repairs over 4 years.Josev
