Where are all the print jobs?

I find it a bit weird for any designer to be looking for a solely print design gig, not just now, but in the past 8 - 10 years, they're not out there and for good reason.. Personally I've been doing both for relatively the same amount of time (about 11 years).. I'm not a front end developer or anything but have always had to be aware of the limitations and best practice examples that surround communications on the web.. It's just a given...
there are loads of "designer" positions out there still, but I reckon 95% of them expect you to at least understand the medium in which you are designing.. to me that's a basic understanding of the various programming languages, cross browser issues and whether you adhere to it or not, a degree of usability...
