i have cards dating back to 78. i've got most rookie cards for all the greats who came into the league up until about 1992. i have a bunch of nolan ryan rookies that my neighbor gave me when i was a kid. my neighbor was ryan's teammate and friend when he played for the angels. cards today are a joke, there's far too many of them and the ones that are pegged as "the jersey from so-and-sos no-hitter" are a complete lie. there's a plaque for a guys no hitter that included dirt and a jersey patch "from the mound and actual jersey worn during the game" yet the player has the whole jersey hanging in the basement of his house, framed with no holes from the patches. it's a lie.

    • not true... and i've never heard of this "the jersey from so-and-sos no-hitter"pavlov
    • absolutely true. i'll take a photo of the guys jersey that is said to be cut up on the plaque the next time i'm at his house. :)kona
    • topps and bowman are reputable brands... they would get in some serious shit if they misled their buyers.pavlov
