No, it's because the amount of effort involved would be so great and the end result so pointless. If you really cared you would open source your fucking player so that Linux users could fix their own problems and maybe even Apple would help speed you up on the Mac side like.
I mean they moan and moan about how Apple is closed if they are so fucking closed why did they work so hard on Webkit, the engine for the default browser on android for fuck sake!
