  why not just buy your own nas and have both a server at home/work on your network, while also acting as an online transfer/repository for clients/family/friends?
  ive got a Synology D207+ with 2TB of space and the thing is rock solid.
  i think it cost around $300US to set the whole thing up.
  I like dropbox, but in the end, the cost benefit doesn't really stack up to the DIY method.
