    stay away from book weight faces and look for type with either a medium or demi weight. use something with a large x-height and short descenders and ascenders. you should also stay away from high-contrast, thick/thin faces like didones.

    set the type a little larger and with more leading and letter spacing than you normally would. this will increase legibility and combat eye fatigue on a dark background. the larger they point size, the brighter the color you can use use. if you want to get carried away exaggerate even more for great effect.

    a few good choices would be newzald from klim, gotham from h&fJ, or even helvetica if you are a purist.
