  I used to live in Berlin and got taxed for some music gear I bought in Switzerland (which is outside the EU).

  But I think in the UK is slightly different, right?
  I'm sure they monitor stuff you buy.

  I remember somebody saying that he bought loads of cheap books in Amazon US, thinking he was being really smart.
  And at the end of the year he received a massive bill for every single purchase.
