  I'm slightly startled by the "but gingers aren't a race" line I've see a lot in the various commentaries to this video.

  That's entirely the point. It's why it comes best from someone with Tamil origins. It's exactly why it should spur dialogue.

  All media has self-purpose as its intent, at least this example's intent is broad, none too po-faced and laser-guided at its demographic.
