It seems that people are so incredibly keen to be viewed as cynical. It's such a shit modern phenomenon, because most of the time it's about posture rather taking an interesting alternative point of view. You want to be _seen_ as cynical, because you want to appear intelligent / knowing / wise / 'seen it all before'.
God help anyone who wants to add any content to their music video or try to add any kind of vague narrative relating to something political - you'll be instantly derided, because we've like - totally seen it yesterday.. heard it all before. We've been thinking the exact same thing since 1994 (we've just choosen to ignore it).
