  Not to be an asshole, but I've noticed this many times... a designer with great work, big clients and such.. but then the site sucks, the design of the actual portfolio site and everything derived from it sucks... not to mention there's usually no personal domain, etc...

  Makes me wonder if the designer is using work from agencies he/she worked at and had 0 or very little input... but that's just me....
