Since I was singled out, I feel a direct response is worth a bit of thread hijacking:

    Dear Fred:

I love George Carlin. He has made several sanguine points, and the one cited by FreddieMac is solid.

That being said, I’m at a loss as to where to go from there.

It’s easy to differ with a lot of the principles that you list, Fred. For instance:

Taxed Enough Already: This is a matter of philosophy. I personally think that the wealthy should be taxed a great deal more. I also believe that income earned through work should be taxed at a very low rate, while income developed through interest should be taxed at a very high rate, if it is not invested back into the society by the individual. This would compel the wealthy to invest more specifically, in an effort to not pay taxes on money that they did not earn.

    • You are so fucking ignorant... believing that the rich should be taxed more. Fuck me.MyMommies
    • i think everyone but me should be taxed more... and so does everyone else.bulletfactory
    • Explain why MyMommies. And this time, try to write like a grown-up.luckyorphan
