I can see the mental benefits of the cleanse thingy, but it's worse than the Jesus Camp thread in here. Some of the borderline fanaticism over "the cleanse" is almost unnerving! I mean, how the fuck did humanity get to this point without "the cleanse"??? Unless there's empirical evidence that says it's a good thing, I'll be steering well clear. I
I've recently adjusted my diet, eating lots of fresh fruit and veg, no coffee, no carbonated drinks, no deserts, no chocolate, drinking 2-3 litres of water per day, and I haven't felt better in a long time! Still not eating as well as I could but it's already made a difference.
I just can't see how starving yourself for days just so you can shit out some black goo is preferable to eating a balanced diet and exercising? Unless you're fucking lazy, that is...
