Now admittedly I have no links to back this up (it didn't really interest me, big surprise) but in 9th grade where I went to school we spent a good amount of time on this in Biology and detoxes and similar things were highly recommended to a lot of the students because many were (and still are) high profile athletes... they'd go to Yale med, get the procedure done, and usually feel much better for the rest of the season. Placebo, I don't know. But I think it would be kind of hard to fake results when you're expected to play D1 football/hockey/lax/or whatever else on a daily basis... I did talk to one of my doctors about it once, semi-jokingly, but he indicated that most of the doubt was due to the fact that funding for any kind of research would be silly since anyone can do it and achieve "results", whether they're medically significant or not. So, meh. I think I'll give it a try, I'm sure it would at least buck some of my current eating habits.
- so medical or not I don't really give a shit, but I may give some mucous plaque or whatever the fuque... :Pismith
