    Funny thing about this whole "people don't buy my shit so I use body doubles" philosophy of his.

    "Black Bastards," the sophomore album from KMD (his first group) was literally dropped from stores and marketing the week following Subroc's death (Doom's brother). The album was mostly unheard of for a few years, and then began getting bootlegged over time, eventually leading to Scott Heron learning about it, and finding out more about Doom. Heron did some asking around and eventually found Doom, and had him on the "Blacklist" track (w/ Aesop Rock) on his "Vocal Studies and Uprock Narratives" album. If "Black Bastards" had never been bootlegged so heavily, it's a decent guess that Doom would still be largely unknown.

    Not sure what my ultimate point is, other than its a tad ironic to me.
