There's nothing that bothers me more than a team that primarily does well because of their goalie. Not to put the USA team down, because they are quite good, but Canada really gave it to them for most of the game. I knew that Brodeur should have been replaced after the first two goals, but since he's such a staple in the sport of hockey they kept him around. A lot of people wanted Luongo to play tonight before the game started.

The shot count was 45-23 in favour of Canada (!)

Anyway, I've already reserved myself to the fact that Canada may not get gold (the way these Olympics have been going for us). They have a good chance, but they have to find some more chemistry and work on the faceoffs. Maybe it's a matter of better goaltending. I do have a little hope, of course, but I think I'm a bit down from the low medal showing ;)

First time the USA has won against Canada at the Olympics since 1960.

Anyway, at least Canadians Virtue and Moir of are in first place in the original ice dance competition. Chance for gold tomorrow. No Canadians have ever won that before. Their main rivals are a team from the USA, who also train with them. Must be weird to see your rivals and train together before the Olympics.
