view pixel preview, snap to pixel, and align stroke to inside for rectangles. single stroke lines have to fall on a half pixel. and for the stubborn objects that just won't preview properly, make stroke widths 0.999px instead of 1px. ok, i admit, that's a bit of hackery. I just prefer the flexibility of Illustrator for comping stuff.
