    i find the assumption that an ability to run a business makes you suitable to lead a govenrment and be an effective policy maker strange.

    It might make perfect sense if you wish for a corpocracy - in the same way countries looking to retain an industrial or manfufacturing based economy recruit technocrats.

    • Knowing how to run a business might help a president who has taken over the car companies, and the banks andis trying to regulate wallstreet, during, in obamas words, the greatest economic crisis since the great depression! Yeah maybe some bizness savvy might be a good thing!!!!
