There is hardly any difference between Republicans and Democrats. Each side swears the other is trying to kill us all when in fact, people who deliberately choose a side are leaving themselves blind to a much greater dogma. Communists! Fascists! Terrorists! Babykillers! Racists! Drug addicts! etc... everyone points to the same things, simply giving different reasons until the data comes full swing, each side flip-flops, and the process repeats– ad infinitum. I'm curious as to whether it is being confined to the general social framework of a "civilized nation" that is the cause, if it is truly embedded in the human psyche, or if it is something else entirely. Regardless, I think all of you should spend much less time quarreling amongst yourselves and actually do something about it– and not because it's "the sensible thing to do if you believe in it". No– the reason you should all go out and do the leg work for what you believe is because then you must make real decisions. If you fuck it up, you take responsibility for it and deal with the consequences.

    • Good thinking, ismith, but I have to disagree with your opening sentence.luckyorphan
