  I did CO > OH this past spring and sold my furniture, hooked up a Uhaul trailer to my SUV and moved with a dog. It was fairly simple because I didn't have to pay for mileage on the trailer, etc. I also drove straight through - so I didn't have to worry about pets and hotels/motels...
